STANDARDS

SPSG develops and publishes consensus standards intended to prevent death, injury, property and economic loss for the sports broadcasting industry.

TRAINING

SPSG training and credentialing program consists of an introductory Orientation Course, which covers such topics as injury and illness prevention, personal protection equipment, lifting safety, and hazard communication.

Sign up and log in to go to your training dashboard.

VENUE PORTAL

The SPSG Venue Portal houses over 1,500 stadiums, arenas, fieldhouses, golf courses, etc., representing all facets of the sports industry from the NFL and MLB to the NHL and PGA. Included with each venue are key personnel, first responders and rally points should the site be evacuated or an emergency arise. Venues, both domestic and abroad, are added as our productions expand and grow.

Use the search button to find the venue, team or sport for which you need details.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

SPSG has partnered with Weather Decision Technologies to provide forecasting and monitoring services for all sports productions. Everything begins with quality, actionable weather information. The WDT WeatherOps system is built to provide production management with the tools it needs to act well before a weather event occurs, as well as real-time support during a severe weather crisis.

SPSG is introducing LiveSafe, a mobile safety communications platform. The LiveSafe system is a powerful tool that connects personnel to their remote production community. Timely safety and security information may be shared en masse. Emergencies may be reported quickly with the option to attach pictures or videos; users can initiate a peer-to-peer virtual escort or live chat with security or hospital personnel; and geo fences may be established to depict safety locations and nearby incidents.
